Jaipur the pink city of India is a must visit with your family/friends or plan a trip solo to explore the beauty of pink city. I am sharing my experience of 4 Day well spend in Jaipur city in which I cover all the major attraction and famous eateries.
Day 1
Started with the highway journey towards Jaipur from Chandigarh as it was a long journey I packed some snacks for the road. Morning 6 am sharp I left Chandigarh and 2:30 pm reached Hotel in Jaipur.
Middle of the journey stopped for a brunch meal at Highway Restaurant.
Reaching at hotel at Holiday Inn in Jaipur which is quite a relaxing hotel.
After relaxing for couple of hours went to chokhi dhani for evening followed by special Jaipur dinner thali.
At the chokhi dhani village which is famous for the traditional thali they server in dinner but before one can enjoy the beautiful village surroundings with eateries which can be enjoyed with dance show or puppet show. Many other carts and shopping shops are there to give you Rajasthani feel.
Day 2
Started with the brunch breakfast at the hotel buffet meal followed by the journey to cover main attraction of Jaipur.
Jal Mahal
If you are looking for a peaceful place Jal Mahal is a perfect spot to visit as calm water with bird’s noise and flowers. Jal Mahal unfortunately was closed as construction was going on so have to explore from outside. The peaceful view was quite adorable and street vendors outside Jal Mahal was selling snacks and drinks which was quite good.
Amer Fort
Amer Fort is the must visit tourist destination in Jaipur as it covers how Rajput Family were used to live. In Bollywood movies like Bajirao Mastani Amer Fort has been covered fantastically.
To cover Amer Fort you definitely a guide which are easily available at the entrance gates they help you to explore full Fort explain detail points and take your pictures at certain famous angles.
Amer Fort is like a historical gem of Rajput’s Family that used to stay here all there way of living there queens and meeting rooms with all secrets rooms are kept safe and secure in Amer Fort.
Amer Fort beauty is still alive as regular maintenance is keep going.
Hawa Mahal
Hawa Mahal was built for the purpose of the women reside in and to see what was happening outside without any disturbance of their husband. Hawa Mahal windows are open from both side where passing of air is cross ventilated with having freedom of choice for women.
Cafe
After Hawa Mahal exploring the famous café opposite to Hawa Mahal the Tattoo Café as it is famous for the view and also the food is quite delicious.
Special Lal Maas Dinner
Dinner was pre planned for Lal maas as without trying Laal maas in Jaipur the Journey would be incomplete. Visited the famous Handi Restaurant famous for signature dish Junglee Maas that I ordered with Laal Maas.
Both were super delicious and must said I never ever had this type of taste explosion.
Day 3
Sleep till late morning as was super tired from yesterday then got fresh-up and have breakfast brunch. Today was the Day before Holi called Holika Dahan so the festive season was all around the pink city.
City Palace
Kown for the Palce were current Rajput’s family is living their culture and way of living is shown in this palace. The current king reside in this palace.
Luckily when I visited King was in the palace and all the palace was decorated for Holika Dahan celebration so King can come to celebrate Holika Dahan at night.
City Palace is kept secret and no photography is allowed inside as this is all private current living of Rajput’s Family and they don’t won’t any one to steal the designs.
Shopping at Bapu Bazar
Bapu Bazar shopping is a talent game you need to have bargaining skills or you will be get a huge loss. Shopping is a fun adventure at Bapu Bazar and the famour eateries like pyaz kachori and lassi are too a must try.
Birla Mandir.
Last stop of 3rd Day is Famous Birla mandir temple Jaipur which is huge and peaceful place but a little crowded when I visited. Food stalls were located outside but ignored as planning to dinner.
Followed by Dinner at Unknown Restaurant.
The food of the restaurant was quite amazing I ordered mutton keema naam with mutton gravy first time try and outstanding taste.
4th Day
Fresh-up Pack the bags followed by breakfast and back to Chandigarh.
In the way have some sandwiches and tea and reched home at 7:30 pm
